30 DAY CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT MEME;;
DAY NINE (x)
How are they with technology? In her modern verse, Lyanna is still pretty young and does fairly well with technology. If she ever got stuck on something, she could always ask Jon for help.
Are they specially qualified in any particular field? Would they be considered at the top of the field? Probably not, given that Lyanna never graduated from high school and got her GED after Jon was born. She does have an extensive knowledge of the history of her family’s company and the companies affiliated therewith. In her main verse, she has an extensive knowledge of history, geography, people and cultures. She makes a great ambassador because she’s naturally charming, genuinely interested in other peoples’ way of life, is respectful towards others, and is an intelligent, strategic thinker. She’s excellent at what she does, that much is certain, but she was never formally trained in any of this.
Have they ever been publically acknowledged for anything? (Ex. Nobel Prize) Lyanna cannot be publicly acknowledged for anything (other than essentially destroying Westeros) because she has gone by an assumed name for a decade and a half and has gone to extensive lengths to protect her identity. Even when she does decide to take the Dornish ambassadorship, she often poses as an aide to a male decoy ambassador– sometimes for her own safety, but also because some cultures would not respect a female envoy. In almost any circumstance, Lyanna is shielding her identity, so a public acknowledgement of any kind is out of the question.
Is there anything they’ve deliberately sought to improve at? Definitely training to fight, definitely reading to become more knowledgeable and learned. In her modern verse, Lyanna always tries to be a the best mother possible for Jon.
Do they speak more than one language? Yes, Lyanna speaks conversationally in a number of languages, including High Valyrian– whatever she would need to know traveling, or might have encountered along the way. Modern verse Lyanna speaks conversational Spanish and French.
